What is Microblading? Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool is used to make several tiny needles to add semi-permanent pigment to skin. Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing because each hair stroke is created by hand using a blade which creates fine slices in the skin, whereas eyebrows tattoos are done with a machine and single needle bundle.
What is Combination Brows? Combination Brows is a combination of two forms of semi-permanent techniques: microblading & powder brows (shading). Microblading hair-strokes are placed with a manual tool around the border of the brow using a permanent makeup device to give the brow a natural look. The powder effect is applied to the body of the brow using a permanent makeup device to give the brow its fullness.
What is Powder Brows? Powder brows (also known as Ombre Brows) is a cosmetic semi permanent makeup technique to create eyebrows with a soft powder effect, which is very similar to powder makeup. This technique is done with a permanent makeup device similar to a tattoo gun.
When you get your brows done, you should return for a touch up 6 weeks after the original procedure. After that, the brows should last between 1-3 years.
Now that you know the difference between Microblading, Combination Brows & Powder brows, it is time to figure out which would be best for you.
Microblading is for those who love the natural looking brows or want to enhance what they already have. Depending on the artist you can choose from different styles of brows that they create. If you are a person who has oily skin a combination brow or powder would be a better option for you. Combination Brows is for those who love the natural looking brow but also want to add some fullness to their brows with some shading. If you have thinner brows this is a great technique to add hair strokes & additional texture. Another way to consider which technique is best for you is how you fill in your brows,. This technique is for those who aren't a candidates for microblading and still want that natural look or want to add fullness to their brows.
